Paonia residents given tap warning

Tap water is off-limits to drink in the small Western Slope town of Paonia because of excessive turbidity.
Turbidity is defined as cloudiness or haziness of water caused by air bubbles or small organic materials.

The turbidity registered in the town's drinking water Tuesday was 24 Formazin turbidity units. The upper limit is five.
Residents have been advised to avoid drinking the water for the next seven to 10 days. They also have been told to boil water
