The partial collapse of a building under construction at Fort Carson on Monday left one worker dead and three others injured, one of them critically, an Army spokeswoman said.

The accident occurred at 12:50 p.m. near Titus Boulevard and Barkeley Avenue at a company operations center being built for the 4th Infantry, which is being transferred to Fort Carson from Fort Hood, Texas. Eight workers were at the construction site.
