An adviser to the Dalai Lama is visiting Colorado this week, speaking at an anti-gang violence initiative, blessing objects at a fundraiser in Denver and visiting a sacred site in Red Feather Lakes.
Thupten Ngodup, the medium of Tibet's chief state oracle, began his visit Sunday night with a mountaintop talk in Aspen.
At 7 p.m. today he is scheduled to speak at an interfaith gathering at Baha'i Denver, 225 E. Bayaud Ave., as part of what organizers have dubbed the Summer of Peace initiative.
He also will be speaking at a "meditation fundraiser" for the Deyang Monastery at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Metaphysical Research Society, 1001 E. Seventh Ave. in Denver.
His visit will end with a free public talk at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Shambala Mountain Center, 4921 County Road 68-C in Red Feather Lakes.
The oracle serves as a Cabinet-level officer for the Tibetan government in exile.
