A Denver woman accused of running over and killing two teens last November waived her preliminary hearing Tuesday.
Sandra Maul, 64, will be arraigned on April 19. She remains free on a personal recognizance bond.
"We want to move through this," said her son, Robert Maul, 32, after the brief hearing. "We want to bring some closure to the families, so they can begin their healing."
Sandra Maul is charged with two counts of vehicular homicide in the deaths of Nhan Nguyen and Jesse Aguirre, both 14.
The two were walking home from Abraham Lincoln High School along South Federal Boulevard on Nov. 17 when Sandra Maul apparently lost control of her Jeep and ran into them from behind.
Toxicology results showed that she had three different prescription drugs in her system at the time.
