The Colorado State Patrol is looking into a fatal one-car crash on U.S. 85 just south of C-470 early this morning.
Master Trooper Ron Watkins said the crash occurred about 4 a.m. when the driver of a silver 2001 Volkswagen Golf lost control on a northbound curve on Santa Fe, ran off the road and crashed into a traffic signal light pole.
The crash caused a partial road closure for northbound U.S. 85 for approximately three and a half hours.
