Denver police host public crime summit

Denver police District 3 is hosting its 1st Annual Crime Summit on Saturday from 8 a.m . to 4 p.m. at the district station, 1625 S. University Blvd.
Events for the day include:
7:30 a.m. Registration and continental breakfast
8 a.m. Welcome and overview by Commander Tracie Keesee
8:30 a.m. Community participation in policing by Dr. Mary Dodge
9:15 a.m. Traffic operations by Officer Jim Pelloni
10 a.m. Nuisance abatement by Lt. Starr-Gimeno
10:45 a.m. Right-of-way management by Tina Scardina
11:15 a.m. Neighborhood inspection by Tom Kennedy
11:45 a.m. Victims assistance by Scott Snow
12:15 p.m. Luncheon speaker Tamara Banks
1:15 p.m. Gang bureau by Sgt. Mike O'Donnell
2 p.m. Breakout sessions with citizens and precinct police
3:45 p.m. New Community Advisory Board Format and closing
