Hollywood turns out in Denver to support troops

The Paramount Theater is rolling out the red carpet Nov. 5 to welcome a number of celebrities to Denver to benefit American troops overseas.
Operation Holiday Spirits goal is to raise more than $100,000 to send packages stuffed with holiday treats plus personal messages from the stars and gifts such as portable DVD players and iPods to troops.
Celebrities will perform songs, share personal stories and lend support to soldiers and their families.
Former 98 Degrees bandmate Jeff Timmons will co-host with Chudney Ross and "Hollywood Entertainments" Jonathan Jaxson.
Among the stars are Denvers Opie Gone Bad, joined by Mario Lopez ("Dancing with the Stars"), Kyle Brandt and Nadia-Bjorlin ("Days of Our Lives"), Michelle Stafford and Kate Linder ("Young and the Restless"), Alexis Cruz ("Shark"), Robert David Hall ("C.S.I."), Jackie Zeman ("General Hospital,") Tyler Hilton (musician/One Tree Hill), Kimberly Locke and Ace Young ("American Idol") and Jordan Knight ("New Kids on the Block").
There also will be taped appearances by Jennifer Aniston, Tyra Banks, Christina Milian and many more.
In addition, concert-goers could go home with their own piece of Hollywood.
Celebrities including Cher, Rosie ODonnell, Jennifer Aniston and many others are donating personal items to the silent auction. Items will be showcased throughout the evening by three of Howie Mandels ladies from Deal or No Deal.
The event is partnered with the Denver-based Treats for Troops in sponsoring as many soldiers as possible through Treats for Troops Foster-A-Soldier Program: www.treatsfortroops.com.
The red carpet begins at 5:30 p.m. outside the Paramount Theater. The show starts at 7 p.m.
Tickets are on sale through TicketMaster and the Paramount box
office.
Tickets range from $49 to $60 and include parking.
