An autopsy revealed that Duane Morrison, the man who took six Bailey schoolgirls hostage and killed one of them, was shot four times, including one self-inflicted wound.
However, according to sources, it has not yet been determined whether Morrison died of the self-inflicted wound or one of the shots fired by SWAT officers who stormed the Platte Canyon High School classroom where Morrison was holed up on Sept. 27.
On Wednesday, a spokesman for the Colorado Bureau of Investigation initially confirmed details of the autopsy report in an interview with CBS 4 News. But later in the day, CBI spokesman Lance Clem said the district attorney had ordered him not to discuss the report.
By then, however, Clem had confirmed that the autopsy found no drugs or alcohol in the system of the 53-year-old gunman.
The report also found that Emily Keyes, the 16-year-old shot by Morrison, died of a single gunshot wound in the back of the head, Clem said.
