Aurora Fire Department arson investigators are sifting through two mobile homes that burned in separate, but nearby, mobile home parts this morning.
Fire Captain Mike Ackman reported the first blaze broke out at 12:55 a.m. in the Fitz Village Mobile Home Park at 13396 E. Colfax Ave.
The first crews on the scene determined it was vacant and brought it under control within half an hour.
Ackman said that as they were finishing up on the first fire, another home at 13210 E. Colfax Ave., within walking distance, burst into flames and the initial fire crews were able to respond to it as well.
That home, also, was vacant.
Damage was estimated at $1,500 and $2,500 respectively.
Arson investigators currently are on scene to determine cause and origin, and the fires are listed as "under investigation."
