CRAZY HORSE MEMORIAL, S.D. (AP) A Colorado couple claimed the winning ticket for a one-of-a-kind Harley-Davidson decked out in honor of the Crazy Horse Memorial that honors American Indians.
The custom motorcycle called ''Warrior'' went to Andy and Brenda Bober of Avon, according to a news release.
He is an architect and she is a children's librarian. They already own a motorcycle and have yet to see the prize.
Andy Bober said the couple read about the drawing last spring and saw it as a chance to contribute to the nonprofit memorial. Their $50 for three tickets netted them the bike valued at $26,755.
Crazy Horse President and CEO Ruth Ziolkowski and Deb Martin of Elite Custom Motorcycles, which donated the bike, drew the winning ticket Saturday.
Over the last year, more than 13,000 raffle tickets sold. More than a third of those sales came over the past week during the annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, which ended Sunday.
The raffle generated more than $200,000 for the Crazy Horse Memorial Foundation. A benefit auction Saturday raised another $5,800. Items belonging to Crazy Horse founder, the late Korczak Ziolkowski, brought in $2,000.
