One of the sexiest women in the world, according to Esquire Magazine and scores of teenage boys, is coming to the aid of Molly Bloom, the East High School student who was run over by a limousine on prom night two months ago.
Actress and former Boulder resident Jessica Biel is donating a date as part of a fundraiser to help the Bloom family pay for medical expenses, said Jeanne Lee, one of the event organizers.
"It should be a lot of fun," Lee said, adding that 10 young men will be on the auction block, too.
Biel, who wont be at the event, will take the highest bidder or bidders to lunch when she comes to Denver in August to receive an award for humanitarian work, Lee said.
The fundraiser, dubbed Mollypalooza, will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Rock Island Café, 1614 15th St. It will also include a silent auction and high school rock bands.
Admission is $10 per person.
Bloom lost her left leg and half her pelvis after being run over and dragged by a limousine May 13. She moved to Denver Childrens Hospital last week to continue her rehabilitation.
