Vice President Dick Cheney, who has a lesbian daughter in Colorado and does not support the anti-gay marriage amendment, is coming to Denver Monday to appear at a fund-raiser for Congresswoman Marilyn Musgrave, the standard- bearer for the amendment.

Musgrave campaign manager John Hotaling said Cheney is "a very loyal supporter of Congresswoman Musgrave."

Last summer, Cheney told an audience, including his daughter, that "with respect to the question of relationships, my general view is freedom means freedom for everyone . . . People ought to be free to enter into any kind of relationship they want to."

Musgrave, who is in her second term, will be up for re-election in November 2006. In her last campaign, her focus on stopping gay marriage attracted heavy contributions, both for and against her.

She was recently rated one of the 10 most vulnerable GOP representatives in the country.

Tickets for the lunchtime event at the Oxford Hotel are priced from $500 to $4,000 per person.

Cheney hasn't been in Colorado since an Election Day eve appearance last fall.

He will be back in Colorado June 1 to appear as the commencement speaker at the Air Force Academy graduation ceremonies in Colorado Springs.
