Eatery update: Mateo
* Mateo (837 Pearl St.), one of my favorite Boulder restaurants, is paying tribute to homeland patriotism on July 4, when the French food temple whips up an all-American repertoire of slow-roasted pork, corn on the cob, coleslaw and flageolet beans. July 14, Mateo returns to its Francophile roots in celebration of Bastille Day, turning out a three-course menu that includes salad Lyonnaise or grilled escarole, filet mignon au poivre or grilled swordfish and pear tartlet for a sweet finale.
