The latest winner for best political news release goes to Stacy Chesney, of the Colorado Bar Association, for:
"It's no lawyer joke: A prosecutor, a sheriff and a pediatrician walk into a room declaring opposition to 40!"
She's referring to Amendment 40, a ballot measure that would impose term limits on appellate court judges. Opponents include the County Sheriffs of Colorado and the Academy of Pediatrics.

HURRAHS FOR HEFLEY
20: The number of years U.S. Rep. Joel Hefley, R-Colorado Springs, has represented the 5th District. He retires in January.
Washingtonian magazine dubbed Hefley "most ethical" in its September edition, after Hefley took on former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay.
