Q: Where can voters return their absentee ballots?
A: During early voting, they can be dropped off at the Denver Election Commission, 303 W. Colfax Ave., Department 101, or any of the six early voting locations until Friday between the hours of 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Early voting locations are:
Athmar Recreation Center, 2680 W. Mexico Ave.
District 3 police station, 1625 S. University Blvd.
Montbello Recreation Center, 15555 E. 53rd Ave.
Montclair Recreation Center, 729 Ulster Way.
Scheitler Recreation Center, 5031 W. 46th Ave.
Wellington Webb Municipal Office Building, 201 W. Colfax Ave.
Absentee ballots also can be dropped at the DEC drop-off lane on Court Place just north of Colfax from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Election Day.
Please do not drop them off at Denver public libraries, grocery stores or other locations.
Q: Is it too late to apply for an absentee ballot?
A: Today is the last day for a voter to request an absentee ballot be mailed to them. They can be applied for in person at the DEC until 6 p.m. Friday.
Q: When is it too late to mail in a completed absentee ballot?
A: The DEC encourages voters to mail them back as soon as possible since they have to be received on the premises by the time the polls close at 7 p.m. on next Tuesday, primary election day.
Postage is 63 cents.
Any ballots not on the premises by the time the pools close next Tuesday will not be counted regardless of the date postmarked.
