The University of Colorado's Boulder campus is known as the place for fun.
Now CU's Colorado Springs campus will be the place for games.
The CU regents Thursday approved a degree ("bachelor of innovation") in game design and development at Colorado Springs.
The program won't be just - well, fun and games, said Colorado Springs campus Chancellor Pam Shockley-Zalabak.
Students will learn how to create games and then market them in courses that span business and engineering, Shockley-Zalabak said.
And the games won't all be Grand Theft Auto, said Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Peg Bacon. Many will be games that train people for jobs, for example in the medical industry, she said.
