The University of Colorado will release the findings of a 15-month investigation of professor Ward Churchill at noon today.
A press conference will follow at 2:30 p.m. at the Coors Events and Conference Center, located on the Boulder campus. The public may read the report, beginning at noon, at http://www.colorado.edu/news/reports/churchill.
CU began investigating allegations of research misconduct against Churchill early last year, after public outcry over an essay he wrote about the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. In it, the tenured ethnic studies professor referred to some victims in the World Trade Center as "little Eichmanns," a reference to Nazi Adolf Eichmann.
The charges against him include plagiarism, fabrication of material and misuse of others' work.
Churchill has denied he committed research misconduct, and says the investigation is politically motivated.
It could be several more weeks before the university decides whether to take action against Churchill, including whether he should be fired.
