Frontier Airlines will start new flights between Denver and Bradley International Airport in Hartford, Conn., marking its return to the New England region.
The Denver-based carrier will fly one daily flight each way on an Airbus A319 aircraft, starting March 2. Frontier will offer passengers coming to Denver the ability to dozens of destinations in the U.S. as well as three cities in Mexico.
It will be the only nonstop flight on the route.
"This gives Denver travelers some nice access to New England," said Frontier spokesman Joe Hodas. "We also expect a lot of business travelers, as you can get to one place or the other and still almost have a full day in either destination."
The daily flight leaves Denver at 11:55 p.m., arriving at 5:35 a.m. It leaves Hartford at 7:35 a.m., arriving in Denver at 9:50 a.m.
Frontier used to fly to Boston but canceled the service in 2002.
