This interactive map shows county-by-county popular vote results for the presidential races in Colorado from 1920 to 2004. Only statewide results are available between 1876 and 1916. Broomfield County did not exist before 2001, and is only on the map for 2004. To move from one election to another, slide the marker along the time line. Each dot on the time line represents a presidential election. Click on any county in the map to get voting results for that year. You can also type the name of the county into the search box above the map.

I have to say this is very cool study and presented in the same week I managed to find all the elections results for Jefferson County going back to 1960.

Indeed. Looks like an angry David Lynch. Very interesting study too.

My county hasn't voted for a Republican since Richard M. Nixon! Ha! They wouldn't know a good candidate if it slapped them in the face! You sock again!

Hmmm...it looks like Colorado voted 3rd party back in 1892. That's pretty cool. Another interesting thing is that it looks as if Grover Cleveland didn't receive a single vote in Colorado. I wonder if they forgot to put him on the ballot, or if Colorado was just so flaming red neck republican that no one voted for him.
